“I’m very fond of the ECW tradition without Paul. I would love for him to be a part of (Hardcore Homecoming) and have him there making an appearance because he deserves to be there. The invitation also is open to any true ECW talent working for WWE. But I’ve already made overtures there and was turned down for guys like Al Snow. The invitation remains open for anyone that wants to come, but it’s up to Vince McMahon. By Vince saying no, that should give ECW fans the real flavor of where his head is. Vince McMahon could care less about the ECW legacy. He’s just trying to find a way to jumpstart his product by using ECW. Whether that works, the fans will decide. But if (WWE) weren’t so arrogant and allowed ECW to have its day of glory, they could have done another show two months down the road with an invasion and the fans wouldn’t care. By not doing that, they’re disenfranchising a lot of ECW fans. I don’t think there’s a real ECW fan out there who cares to see Eric Bischoff or coach or Vince McMahon at an ECW show.” www.liveaudiowrestling.com/wo/news/interviews/default.asp?aID=13366
