Two McMahon Creations Listed Among Worst TV Events

Two different McMahon family ideas are both roasted in the new book "What Were They Thinking?" by David Hoftstede, which collects the "100 Dumbest Events in Television History." The Mae Young-Mark Henry pregnancy and birth of a rubber hand (how I wish I was making that up) came in at 62, featuring comments from Death of WCW author R.D. Reynolds. The Vince McMahon football league brainchild XFL came in at 48, although it was noted that several production innovations were later adopted by the National Football League. Despite how horrible both ideas are, neither of them hold a candle to the two hour debacle labeled the worst mistake in TV history -- the infamous "Star Wars Holiday Special."
