Erick Smith aka RollerJam sent in the following:
Vince McMahon was on Kudlow and Cramer today on CNBC, he mostly spoke of the Christmas in Ira show and the fourteen bases they visited. Some notable material:
On Morale of the Troops:
We thought we were going to go there to lift there spirits and quite frankly, they lifted ours. Tragedy, not withstanding (speaking of the bombing in Mosul), morale is up.
On the Troops View of the News:
One beef rank and file has is that there's not enough balance in the news as far as Iraq is concerned, all theyhear is just the negatives. They watch the same news we do. Nothing good is being shown on the news about progress being done in schools, healthcare, and even roads.
Vince also commented that the presence of the "bad guys" is not as overwhelming as the media makes it out to be.
On the business right now and in the future:
The WWE is all about a long term perspective, we're a forward looking company. We wouldnt let a small downturn be reflective of upcoming events. Stuff like this happens all the time to our business.
The hosts thanked Vince and his whole gang for going to Iraq, and that was about it.
Nothing exciting or noteworthy other then the very positive attitude of Vince when it comes to 2005.
