The following is an interview summary of Stan Lane on "Get in the Ring" as written by Brian P. Cooper of www.BigVanVader.com.
The latest uncensored episode of Get In The Ring features an excellent interview with former NWA Tag Team champion "Sweet" Stan Lane.

- Stan Lane joins The Phantom and Sir Adam on the show. Adam begins by saying that he asked Stan for an interview several years ago, but Stan declined. Lane said at the time he was finished with wrestling. Lane said it was Jerry Jarrett who asked him to commentate for the WWF.
- Adam asks about the commentating, saying Vince in his ear must've drove him nuts. Lane replied that it's like most things, you have to get used to it. Lane was on the number one show at the time, Superstars, with Vince. Vince was nice to begin with but it was more of a ''stare-down'' thing after two years. Lane was on bad terms when he left. Jerry Jarrett had long since gone, with Vince thinking Stan was calling Jarrett with the inside scoop. Lane didn't even care about the inside scoop. He was seen as Jarrett's bastard step-child.
- Phantom says he'd rather hear Sweet Stan than Mark Lloyd. Adam asks if a commentator could be successful without a wrestling background. Lane says not and that a commentator needs some background, or at least be a dedicated student.
- Phantom asks about Wrestle Reunion (www.wrestlereunion.com) after the Mid-Atlantic convention debacle with Greg Price. Lane said he'd had an email apology from Price. Lane then goes onto talk about the incident with Price. Lane runs through names that'll appear at the Reunion.
- Phantom then brings up Dennis Condrey. Lane says he was missing in action. Phantom asks Lane if Condrey had personal problems, which was why he replaced Condrey in the Midnight Express. Condrey confirmed this in a ROH Q&A.
- Phantom asks if Stan watches the current WWE product (he doesn't). Lane talks about the new Midnight Express shoot interview and says the going rates for shoots can be thousands of dollars.
- Lane then discusses his love of karate, and introducing it into wrestling to be a little different. Lane says the Express once earned $245,000 a piece under Crockett. When Crockett sold to Turner, the earnings were a lot less. Lane and Cornette than formed Smoky Mountain Wrestling where he and Tom Prichard formed The Heavenly Bodies. Lane had no problem with Vito Denucci using the Bodies name, as he and Prichard stole the names themselves.
- Stan's worst gimmick was ''Nature Boy'' Stanley Lane under Dusty. Lane hated being called Stanley. Lane brings up the recent Memphis show with Jackie Fargo and Jerry Lawler.
- Phantom brings up Luger and is it true everybody hates him. Lane says that people resented Luger's push for how green he was. Lane was the only guy who liked Lex.
- Adam asks what wrestlers failed to get groupies. Phantom thinks Bugsy McGraw. Lane said even McGraw had a woman or two, but not Leroy Brown.
- Wrestle Reunion will see The Fantastics and The Rock and Roll Express managed by Bobby "The Brain" Heenan against The Midnight Express (Lane, Eaton and Condrey) and their manager "The Louisville Slugger" Jim Cornette.
