As we reported several days ago, there had been growing tension between Pat Patterson and WWE management in the last several weeks. The gist of the story is that Pat feels Triple H is being pushed way to hard and it's time to let other talent move up and try to make a name for themselves. Pat is said to be blaming the down business in part to Triple H.
Patterson went to Vince McMahon several weeks ago and expressed his concerns and apparently didn't get the answer he wanted or it was just shrugged off by Vince. McMahon is known to associate himself with 'yes men' and Pat is not one of those people. Triple H has a load of backstage power within WWE and with Pat speaking out against him, there was tension building.
We've been told by one source that Patterson has given his notice to Vince McMahon and plans to retire after 46 years in the wrestling business..
