Steve Austin, Hulk Hogan, and Mick Foley will not be live on SmackDown next week, despite WWE's confirmed "returns." They will all be part of a video segment(s) celebrating five years of SmackDown!
With the strong Thursday lineup from other networks, WWE made the decision to promote the returns of the huge aforementioned stars at the last minute. WWE contacted the three big stars sometime this week about the plans to feature them on next week's show. Vince McMahon and Stephanie McMahon were also confirmed for the episode.
It is known that Austin lives in LA, and Hogan will be in the area, so it is likely that WWE will film their interview segments in Los Angeles. SmackDown! emanates from Phoenix next Tuesday.
