Sources close to the situation claim that the McMahons are finally accepting the fact that both RAW and SmackDown! are suffering from creative flaws at this point. Many feel Vince McMahon will make some moves to shakeup the creative team, especially on SmackDown.
With Bruce Prichard on a leave of absence, in a move unrelated to Tom Prichard's firing, wrestlers feel WWE can really boost creativity, since Prichard's ideas were largely considered incoherent. Right now, SmackDown! creative is largely handled by Dave Lagana, Vince McMahon and Stephanie McMahon.
Wrestlers remain optimistic that Paul Heyman will return to a role in creative, however understand that due to his rocky relationship with Vince and other WWE officials, it may not be feasible.
