Reportedly, WWE's fine structure for violating the newly sanctioned dress code is $500 for the first offense, $1,000 for the second offense, and a suspension for the third offense. Recently, talent such as Rey Mysterio, D-Von Dudley, and other SmackDown! wrestlers have already reportedly received a fine for violating the code.
With the increased imposition of WWE rules, many are complaining that WWE is becoming a "fascist" type of company, with things being run, according to one source, "just as Vince McMahon would want [them]." There is no doubt that Vince McMahon is "in charge," but the feeling among talent and staff is that Vince and other officials are abusing their power.
In an update to Steve Austin's well documented visit to Monday's RAW show, his meeting with Vince McMahon was reportedly very short. The five-minute meeting did not bring about any major business developments, although little is known as to what the two men spoke about. Austin, who was in good spirits backstage, reportedly told wrestlers that he gave up alcohol and has a new lease on life, sort of like a "New Age Redneck," as one source described it. Austin left the WWE earlier this year after an issue regarding the rights to his name.
