To update what we first reported yesterday, there have been phone conversations between Steve Austin and Vince McMahon over the last several weeks about a possible return. As of this time, there's no word of anything being imminent.
Sources whom we talked to have told us that Vince McMahon's mood about Austin changes regularly based on various different things such as RAW house show advances and the ratings. Another example of this is on RAW this week when Chris Jericho mentioned Steve Austin's name, there was no crowd pop. It's simple things like this that Vince does to see how the fans feel about Austin right now.
