"I've got a great relationship with WWE owner Vince McMahon and he's well aware of my goals," The Rock says.
"Six years ago when I started, I never wanted to be the biggest or strongest guy, I just wanted to be the best and while that sounds very lofty I was at least going to swing for the fences in wrestling," he notes with a baseball analogy.
"He [McMahon] knows now that my goals in film are to become a decent actor and to continue to work with good actors but not only that . . . I want to make these entertaining, fun movies, movies that kinda echo my feelings."
