> CRASH HOLLY FOUND DEAD - At just over 30 years of age, the man who revolutionized the WWE hardcore division, Crash Holly, passed away yesterday afternoon in the house of WWE superstar Steven Richards. Born Michael Lockwood, he joined WWE in August of 1999 as the cousin of Hardcore Bob Holly. His is most famous for the entertaining 24/7 hardcore championship rule, when he declared he could defend the title 24/7 against anyone after winning the belt from Test on February 24th 2000. The backstage skits with Lockwood trying to keep his Hardcore title were some of the most entertaining on WWE TV at the time. He was last seen on WWE as a 'Mattitude Follower' on Smackdown! but was later released by WWE. He joined NWA:TNA for a short stint afterwards. No details are available yet regarding his death. WWE released a statement on their official website announcing his death.
